I'm definitely not a matcha connoisseur, but i had some matcha from a pretty popular health brand. it was bitter and just not nice. This is a big step up, for less money, more matcha powder and pretty nice tasting i would recommend this matcha without breaking the bank.

After trying ceremonial grade from Japan , I was looking for one in South Africa. This brand in my opinion is not ceremonial grade , the colour is dull green , also no vegetal flavour that a class matcha gives, I felt no benefits such as energy boost , calm mood…in fact it made feel anxious. The shipping cost was also very expensive for a sub par product.

For something closer to that experience, we’d recommend trying the AAAAAA grade from the same brand, which many of our matcha lovers have found more satisfying in its flavor. We’ve also noted your concerns about shipping — our rates are standardized (R80 for orders over R400, free over R800), which is currently the best we can offer given that we are only based in Cape Town.

Super happy with my purchase , it is definitely top grade quality matcha powder , you can definitely taste the difference , it’s sweetness is subtle , and very enjoyable ! I drink my matcha everyday !! Would recommend to anyone who has purchased low grade matcha before - this is a heck of an upgrade . I love it ! Will repurchase again .
