First time trying this flavour. I love black beans so I was super keen to try it out and I don’t regret it. Spicy and stewy, very delicious. The noodles are a different texture from other Buldak noodles, they are more on the thin side but still delicious.

The jjajang buldak does use a slightly thinner noodle than the classic version, which suits that thicker black bean sauce nicely since it clings better. If you want to take it further, a spoonful of cheese or a fried egg on top mellows the heat beautifully. So glad the first try was a winner!
